Part of this weekends project was getting the stained glass work done on the pool change room door. This view is from the inside. Tim did an amazing job. The room has a light and it creates an beautiful image at night. It's not real stained glass - but a film that sticks to the window via static - no sticky stuff to deal with but lots of measuring and cutting. We grew up in Toronto; Etobicoke to be exact and graduated from B.C.I. We got married in 1981 then both attended Guelph University, Tim graduated from the O.A.C. programme and I transfered to George Brown College. We moved to Mitchell, Ontario where we farmed and had two kids then moved to Stratford...where we still are.

Week two in the greenhouse
Pretty amzing what can change in just one week!
On the left is leaf lettuce, dead center is "Hyacinth" beans and to the right is beef steak tomatoes.
It was almost 80 degrees in the greenhouse today - just nice.

Week one in the Greenhouse
Tim has always been an avid gardener...loves digging in the dirt. Me...not so much! I admit I hate the feel of dirt on my hands but I am loving the greenhouse. In part because it's warm in there. But I've discovered I like the gardening idea when I can do it without getting dirty or kneeling on the ground. So what you see are my efforts and Tim is looking forward to planting them in the ground. "team work"

Spring in Stratford
It's been a rather crappy spring as far as weather goes but Tim has started planting already...in the greenhouse.
It's only been a week and some lettuce is already coming up. With all the things happening this summer it could be we'll have a container garden.
He's still finishing the garage and workshop that he and Thomas built last fall and then...there's landscaping to do.

Tim's 50th Birthday Present 2010
The last few months have seen Tim and Thomas building a garage and workshop as well as putting together the greenhouse kit that Tim received for his 50th last May.
The planting has begun! Amazing how hot it gets in there.
